Gloster's Stainless steel items are made from 304 grade stainless steel - the industry standard for outdoor seating products. the standard brushed finish provides a smooth, resistant surface that is as appealing to the touch as it is easy to clean and maintain. In addition to this brushed finish, Gloster also offer an electropolished finish on select items of furniture. Electropolishing is an electrochemical process whereby the combination of an electrical current and a strong acid removes much of the iron from the surface of the steel, but leaves the chrome intact, resulting in a more shiny, but improved corrosion resistant surface. Teak is a dense, close-grained hardwood with uniquely high natural oil content. Teak is exceptionally hard wearing, highly resistant to rotting and almost impervious to the effects of sun, rain, frost or snow. for these reasons, teak is the first choice timber for outdoor furniture. All the teak used is plantation grown.
